Shape the Future of Spare Parts Delivery as a Project Engineer

Are you ready for the next step in your career? We are looking for a Project Engineer, Spare Parts Packages to join our Global Headquarters in Karlstad. This is a unique opportunity to combine project execution with global process development. You will not only manage Spare Parts Packages for Tissue projects, but also play a key role in continuously improving, standardizing and digitalizing the global Spare Parts Package process. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Sourcing and Supply Chain, you will help create smarter ways of working that improve efficiency, strengthen customer satisfaction and support future business growth.

Your responsibilities

  • You will manage Spare Parts Packages from quotation through delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule, meeting customer expectations, and achieving commercial targets.

  • You will take ownership of project financials, including turnover, profitability, and overall business performance for assigned Spare Parts Packages.

  • You will lead the continuous development and standardization of the global Spare Parts Package process, helping create consistent and efficient ways of working across the organization.

  • You will identify process improvement opportunities and transform them into practical solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

  • You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Sourcing, Supply Chain and global stakeholders to improve information flow, implement digital solutions, and drive operational excellence.

Expectations for you

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment within an international and multicultural setting.

  • Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Experience with ERP systems, digital tools, or process automation is considered an advantage.

  • Knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement methodologies, or operational excellence practices is considered an advantage.

To succeed in this role

Success in this position comes from combining a process improvement mindset, cross-functional project management skills, and an analytical and commercial mindset. You are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, driving projects forward, and finding opportunities to improve the way work is done. You use data and business insight to support decisions, balance customer needs with profitability, and turn ideas into practical solutions that deliver measurable results.

We also expect you to align with Valmet’s Leadership Principles, practical behaviors that guide how we lead, collaborate, and succeed together:

  • Take accountability – Act with ownership, set clear expectations, and follow through.

We offer

You will become part of a team that plays a vital role in delivering Spare Parts Packages for Tissue projects around the world. The team works closely with multiple functions across the business, creating a highly collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions can have a direct impact. You will have the opportunity to influence global processes, improve ways of working, and support digital transformation initiatives that help drive future growth.
