Job description

Monarch Quantum is seeking a skilled and driven Project Engineer 3 specializing in Photonic Modules to join our innovative team. In this role, you will manage and drive photonic module development projects from concept through production, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with technical and business goals. You will serve as the key interface between engineering teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and management, coordinating resources and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate photonic module projects including design, development, prototyping, and transfer to production.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets and ensure milestones are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including optical, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Identify technical risks and work proactively with stakeholders to address challenges and implement solutions.
  • Manage supplier relationships and coordinate procurement of components critical to photonic modules.
  • Track project progress, generate status reports, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate design reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving sessions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project execution and module performance.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • Typically 5+ years of engineering or project management experience within photonics, optoelectronics, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of photonic module technologies, including integration of optical, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain considerations for photonic devices.
  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation in project environments.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Benefits

The expected annual salary range for this position is $85,000-$165,000.
