Job description
As a Project Controls Engineer, you will provide support for a project from contract award up to close. You are the one that plans the work and keeps an overview of the overall progress. Implementing tools and processes challenge you and you make sure that this implementation goes smoothly.

Project Management Systems do not have any secrets for you. You understand core project controls knowledge areas (scheduling, risk management, cost control, project information management). Thinking out of the box and using innovative ways to improve the business processes are key elements in this job.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible to deliver successful project controls for the assigned project, reporting to the project manager / project director.

  • You set up a realistic project plan, control this plan during the project and adapt whenever necessary.

  • You are part of a project team that is located on our sites all around the world.

  • You liaise and work with the internal supporting departments to implement the project administrative requirements.

  • You develop and update project management documentation with the focus on project controls.

  • You will monitor the performance of the project management system and make suggestions to improve the efficiency & effectiveness.

  • You keep an eye on the contracts we agreed upon and make sure we deliver according to the agreements and specifications.

  • You follow up the costs of the project: forecasting, reporting and evaluation together with the project financial controller. 

  • You follow up the project on a daily base and report to the project manager.

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant discipline.

  • You have a keen interest in the scheduling, information management, contract administration, budgeting and/or execution of civil & offshore works.

  • You have solid organizational skills, together with strong written and oral communication abilities.

  • You are fluent in English; any other language is an asset.

  • You have an analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude.

  • You can handle stress and deliver qualitative output against a given and strict deadline.

  • You are a team player with a focus a client/stakeholder management.

  • Experience with developing project schedules (Primavera P6) is a plus.

  • Experience with setting up Document Management System (Aconex, Ineight, ThinkProject, etc.) is a plus.

  • Contract management skills and cost controlling skills are an asset.

  • Experience in consolidating multiple data sources and making analysis and reports/dashboards is a plus.

  • You are flexible to work in our office in Breda and/or travel to our projects.
