Job description

Groth Design Group is a Wisconsin-based architecture, interior design, and master planning firm dedicated to helping clients create environments that reflect their mission, culture, and goals. With offices in Milwaukee, Cedarburg, and Appleton, we serve clients across healthcare, education, corporate, senior living, hospitality, and community markets. Guided by our philosophy of "Listen. Lead. Serve.", we combine thoughtful design, strong relationships, and a collaborative approach to deliver meaningful projects that positively impact the people and communities they serve. At our core, we believe great work starts with great people, which is why we invest in a supportive culture built on trust, growth, and opportunity.

Why Join Us

  • We are a mission-based firm that provides a strong culture that encourages personal and professional growth, collaboration and connection with your colleagues, and an employee-centric approach.  At Groth Design Group, you will find opportunities to grow with true opportunities and responsibilities, not just through multi-tiered titles.
  • This position offers the opportunity to take on meaningful project leadership responsibilities within a supportive and collaborative studio environment. You will benefit from a supportive culture with a path to advancement, along with exposure to a diverse range of healthcare project types and clients.
  • We strongly believe the culture drives the quality of the work.

We are seeking a motivated Healthcare Project Architect / Project Manager to join our growing healthcare studio. This role is ideal for a design-focused professional with 5–10 years of experience who is ready to take the next step toward project leadership.  You will play a key role in managing projects from early concepts through construction, working collaboratively with clients and internal teams to deliver thoughtful, high-quality healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage healthcare projects through all phases of design and construction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project teams.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Lead design development and project execution with support from the Healthcare Studio Leader.
  • Produce and oversee project documentation in Revit.
  • Ensure alignment between design intent, technical requirements, and client goals.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • 5–10 years of professional experience; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Architectural licensure or progress toward licensure preferred.
  • Project management and client-facing experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit required; SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Strong graphic, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across all phases of design and documentation.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
