Description

We are seeking an exceptional Program Manager to lead Stage 1 of a new and emerging capability area for Northrop Grumman Australia, establishing the foundations for future growth and long-term success.

While the initial phases of the program will be led by colleagues within our US business to support knowledge transfer, this role is responsible for bringing together Defence, industry, international partners and internal teams to ensure successful integration and delivery within Australia. Success will rely on your ability to build trusted relationships, align stakeholders, and navigate a complex environment where collaboration is critical to achieving outcomes.

The Opportunity

As the key interface between Defence, industry partners, international stakeholders and internal teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving integration, maintaining alignment of priorities, and ensuring successful delivery against program objectives.

Working closely with program leadership in the United States, you will oversee the integration and execution of Australian activities, ensuring local priorities, stakeholder expectations and delivery commitments are coordinated and achieved.

You will bring together multidisciplinary teams across engineering & technical, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, safety and support functions while fostering strong customer relationships and a culture of collaboration, accountability and delivery excellence.

Success in this role will be defined by your ability to influence without authority, build trusted partnerships, align diverse stakeholder groups, and bring people together around a shared outcome.

This role will suit a leader who thrives in emerging environments, enjoys building capability from the ground up, and is motivated by delivering outcomes through collaboration, influence and strong stakeholder engagement.

About You

You are an accomplished program leader with a track record of delivering complex programs while building high-performing teams and stakeholder relationships.

You will bring:

  • Experience leading  complex programs within Defence, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering or similarly regulated industries

  • Strong commercial and financial management capability

  • Demonstrated success establishing, scaling or transforming programs and organisations

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to apply values based leadership to influence and build credibility across customer, industry and internal stakeholder groups

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through complexity, growth and change

  • Proven experience at building a proactive safety culture

  • Strong risk management, governance and delivery expertise

  • A strategic mindset combined with a passion for execution and results

  • Experience within explosive ordnance, guided weapons, munitions, advanced manufacturing, or similar complex capability environments will be highly regarded

If you are a collaborative leader who enjoys bringing stakeholders together, driving integration across multiple organisations, and delivering outcomes in a complex and emerging environment, we encourage you to apply.
