Job Description Summary:

The Program Coordinator will assist Cancer Center Education, Human Resources, and Administration departments in coordinating and organizing program activities.

Job Description:

Job Duties Outlined:

  • Provide program support and coordination for Education, Human Resources and Administration for the Cancer Center which includes maintaining information in databases related to KU Cancer Center educational grant initiatives.

  • Coordinate development for weekly seminars to include: local and long distance travel arrangements, creating the itinerary, scheduling meetings, catering, process reimbursement requests and expense reports, and promotion of the event.

  • Assist in developing yearly educational seminar program schedule and send out calendar invites to KUCC members.  Organize documents, track and keep records of CEU's for attendees using EEDS software platform.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings for Cancer Center education program leadership.

  • Work on special projects as needed including preparation of reports, or implementation of new processes for Human Resources and/or Administration.

  • Coordinate events including: logistics, food, etc for employee appreciation, grand & grant rounds, poster forums, etc.

  • Create HR Insights monthly publication.

  • Process invoices, expense reports, budget tracking for events and grants.

  • Serve as backup for other department staff as needed.

Work Environment:

  • This is a part-time position (20 -24 hours/week) and is eligible for benefits.

  • This position will be 100% onsite.

Required Qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • Four years of related experience. Education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of graphic design.

  • Previous experience in Healthcare or oncology.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
