<p><strong><span contenteditable="false" draggable="true" class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvi fr-draggable"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7JqFGHLr_lY?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong></p><p><strong>Come join our team at the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) where you will experience work-life balance, great benefits, and an exciting career that supports the Agency’s mission to make South Carolina a safe place to work and live. &nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>You will provide supervision, direction, and assistance to the administrative functions and operations of the Counselors, Psychology, Social Work and Genetic Counselors Boards. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>You will interpret licensing statutes and regulations to licensees, applicants, and the public and receive and respond to inquiries (walk-ins, telephone, email, mail, and fax) for assistance related to the program areas.</li><li>You will train, supervise and lead staff who conduct daily operations for the Boards.</li><li>You will weekly review the Boards’ websites and update changes and ensuring updates to the National Practitioner Database. &nbsp;</li><li>You will work with other internal divisions and offices to monitor and enforce all licensee board-ordered terms and conditions and reports of non-compliance. &nbsp;</li><li>You will perform other functions as assigned including records retention, board meeting preparation, fiscal and procurement activities, and other functions to support all aspects of applicable statutory and regulatory responsibilities. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>A high school diploma and relevant program experience. &nbsp;</li></ul><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>MANDATORY: &nbsp;Must be able to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check and be vetted by SLED Criminal Justice Information Services.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment and/or prior supervisory experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of principles and practice of office management and general administrative functions.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent customer service skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to exercise judgment and discretion when interpreting and applying policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to follow complex instructions.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of office equipment, computers, Microsoft, and other software and database programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and organizational functions.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to process meeting notes and minutes.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.</li><li>Daily records filing and use of computers and telephones.</li><li>Occasional overnight travel and work outside of normal Agency business hours (evenings and weekends).</li><li>May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to bend and squat in upper and lower file drawers.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits Offered</strong></p><p>The South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation offers an exceptional benefits package for FTE positions that includes:</p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Health, dental, vision,&nbsp;long term disability, and life insurance for employee, spouse, and children</li><li>15 days annual (vacation) leave per year</li><li>15 days sick leave per year</li><li>13 paid holidays</li><li>Paid Parental Leave</li><li>State Retirement Plan and Deferred Compensation Programs</li></ul>
