Education
Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and Training
Computer skills, including graphic design and publishing. Administrative support experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
- General knowledge of office management techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a helpful and gracious demeanor while simultaneously handling multiple requests for assistance.

- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Adobe Express
- Familiarity with WordPress website platform is desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
- Aptitude for proofreading, editing, and formatting documents.
- Ability to organize workflow, coordinate activities, and prioritize workload.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Works directly with the Dean’s Office to support essential functions within the School of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences
- Works with departments to gather, interpret and report on essential functions of scholarship
- Produces materials and media related to academic Departments within the School of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences
- Liaison to and communicates with students and faculty
- Assists with event planning
- Assists with academic affairs
- Maintains record/filing systems, especially related to curriculum and APIRC
- Creates and maintains databases
- Compiles data or documentation
- Files documents or records
- Prepares reports, memos, letters and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, or design software
- Assists in documentation for assessment
- Supports curriculum committee, by managing- posting and tracking- the process for curricular and program changes [University-wide]
- Responsible for producing newsletter and social media content for the School of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences
- Supports program assessment within the School of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences
- Manages short-term projects, as assigned
- Other duties as assigned.
