Big Bend Community College reserves the right to offer this position to a qualified candidate at any time, so a prompt response is encouraged.</p>Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:<ul><li>Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of campus events.</li><li>Plan and coordinate daily event setups, submit work orders, and create setup diagrams.</li><li>Review event logistics for accuracy; address changes and issues as they arise.</li><li>Check room setups and event spaces; adjust as needed.</li><li>Provide on-site event support for multiple concurrent events at multiple locations across campus.</li><li>Serve as backup A/V support to Media Technician.</li><li>Operate and troubleshoot projectors, microphones, laptops, and related equipment during live events.</li><li>Provide customer service support for phones, email, and in-person inquiries.</li><li>Communicate effectively during high-pressure, real-time event situations.&nbsp;</li><li>Respond to questions regarding spaces and logistics for internal and external customers.</li><li>Collaborate with the Maintenance and Operations (M&amp;0), Big Bend Technology (BBT), catering providers, vendors, and other campus departments.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in building and maintaining vendor relationships.</li><li>Perform clerical duties (filing, data entry, phone calls and emails, scheduling, recordkeeping) with a high degree of accuracy.</li><li>Process contracts, invoices, vouchers, and other administrative requests.</li><li>Assist with inventory of supplies and equipment.</li><li>Maintain services areas, including kitchen and dishwashing responsibilities.</li><li>Work a flexible schedule (early mornings, evenings, weekends as needed).</li></ul>OTHER WORK ACTIVITIES:<ul><li>Follow safe work practices and policies, including, but not limited to security and safety, fire, disaster, and safe lifting.</li><li>Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.</li><li>Ensure self-compliance with college policies and procedures.</li><li>Conduct self in a professional manner and ensure personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the college.</li><li>Adapt to changing priorities and manage workload with frequent interruptions.</li><li>Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be required.&nbsp;</li></ul><strong><u>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong><ul><li>Two years of full-time clerical experience in an office setting.</li><li>Experience ordering and tracking office supplies, materials, and forms.</li><li>Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) to effectively complete tasks. &nbsp;</li><li>Previous experience working with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.</li></ul><strong><u>DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong><ul><li>Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution.</li><li>Experience with software applications such as, PeopleSoft and other student information systems.</li><li>Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency.</li></ul><p style="margin: 0;
