WORK HOURS Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm 

Full Time Team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.

Peak Season (July-December) Requirements

Mandatory overtime which may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

BASE PAY: $18.80

BSN Sports, A Varsity Achievement Brand, is looking to hire a Embroidery Specialist, you will be responsible for operating a computerized Embroidery machine to process customer requested specialty orders including uniforms, special event apparel, headwear, and tote bags. The Specialist responds to work orders, set up, operates, troubleshoots equipment, and performs direct physical activity to complete the order in a timely manner while meeting the customer's quality specifications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Reviews works orders, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares their work area.
• Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest of quality specifications.
• handles the proper placement of design, hooping and thread colors.
• Retrieve designs from the computer and enter it into the embroidery machine.
• Enter thread colors into the machine, double check garment, count and style are accurate.
• Load and unload the machine with new/old, hooped items.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of their work area during production and at each shift end.
• Floors need to be swept, all trash should be picked up and empty boxes need to be properly disposed of.
• Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
• Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders in spoken English, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
• Learn tasks quickly, accurately driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

• Direct physical activity is required to maintain productivity levels while meeting the highest of quality specifications.
• Must be able to follow orders and proper machine operating.
• Learn tasks quickly, detailed, accurately driven, a team player and on time with attendance.
• Candidates are required to differentiate and coordinate colors.
• Ability to spot errors and ensure precise stitching.
• An eye for accuracy to catch irregularities ensuring that we only send out the best product.
• A reliable team member that employees can count on every day to be punctual.
• Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
• Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma or GED (required)
• Previous warehouse experience is a bonus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
