NOTE:   This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area.  You must be willing to work in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 3 days/week to be considered for this position.

From traditional to trendy, this team is shaping the styles and looks our customer love. 

We have an opportunity available for a Product Merchandiser, supporting our Nordstrom and Rack Men's and Women's Soft Accessories categories.  As the Product Merchandiser, you will partner with the Merchandising Director to drive the vision for your area of responsibility (AOR), leading the development of trend-right product that helps build brand love with our customers.   Through collaboration with Nordstrom Product Group (NPG), Design and Product Development teams and Nordstrom Merchandising Group (NMG) merchants, the Product Merchandiser is responsible for driving the line planning process and building a balanced assortment architecture.

A day in the life… 

  • Create and implement merchandising plans to achieve performance goals for a specific brand and/or merchandise category. Deliver product performance results based on strategic goals and budget expectations 
  • Define seasonal, annual and multi-year strategies that identify future opportunities and trends that support the merchandising strategy for the division 
  • Execute successful product line presentations that align with customer needs. Deliver product performance results based on strategic goals and budget expectations while demonstrating in season agility. Conduct seasonal competitive analysis including recommending updates of brand price bands 
  • Hire and supervise an efficient and effective team that meets the needs of each functional area. Coach team through performance feedback, goal-setting and development plans
  • Collaborate with Brand leadership teams and NMG to achieve brand expectations 
      

You own this if you have… 

  • 7+ years of retail buying, merchandising or planning experience 
  • Experience initiating, recommending and implementing merchandise strategies 
  • Strong understanding of and ability to apply market intelligence 
  • Understanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom 
  • Fluency in MS Office suite  
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $90,000 - $175,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
