As Product Engineer, you will take technical ownership of our gDrive system and play a key role in ensuring its successful development, industrialization and continuous improvement.

This position combines system engineering, product engineering and project management. You will act as the technical focal point for the complete system, working closely with engineering, project management, production and cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Technical system responsibility of the Pendix gDrive including drive units, battery, HMI, wiring, sensors

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across development, production and project teams located at multiple sites. Technical project management for series production launches and product modifications

  • Manage engineering changes, product improvements and series production modifications

  • Creation of approved articles and bills of materials in the ERP system

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical design engineers, electronics and firmware specialists, project managers and manufacturing teams

  • Technical development and support of sales for customer-related inquiries

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree, State-Certified Technician qualification, or equivalent in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Precision Engineering

  • Extensive experience in product engineering, system engineering or technical product ownership

  • Experience with product design and manufacturing technologies

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and product development processes

  • Familiarity with 3D CAD, PLM and ERP systems

  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in international, cross-functional teams

  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach

  • Fluent German and English skills

  • Knowledge of drive systems, gear systems, batteries, sensors or mechatronic products would be highly preferred

  • Experience within the bicycle, eBike or mobility industry is an advantage
