Business Overview

The Marketing Division leads brand, creative, marketing, and membership as a cross-group organization with a mission to expand Rakuten Group's membership value and ecosystem of over 70 services.

We believe that the mobile domain is a platform that plays a fundamental role in the ecosystem, and as the Marketing Division, we are further promoting collaboration with Rakuten Mobile.

 

Department Overview

Ecosystem Product Strategy Planning Department is an organization that promotes company-wide focused projects to plan, develop, and improve the "Rakuten Link" application, which unifies the services of the entire group.

The app will provide access to "all of Rakuten's economic sphere," including special promotions across services and various payment methods and will be deployed as a platform for an ecosystem unparalleled anywhere in the world, including not only Rakuten but also its partners.

The Business Development Section is responsible for developing and implementing functions for the "Rakuten Link" application, as well as planning and developing services for monetization. With the number of Rakuten Mobile lines exceeding 6 million and further expansion expected, we aim to expand the ecosystem by making the "Rakuten Link" application more convenient and beneficial.

Position Details

You will lead the following tasks with the mission of increasing product revenue, in cooperation with related parties both inside and outside Rakuten depending on your experience, aptitude, and desires.

- Business strategy, planning, and roadmap development focusing on application products.

- Planning and execution of individual projects.

- Planning new functions and defining requirements.

- Establishment and operation of KGI and KPI to maximize results.

- PDCA for project promotion and revenue improvements.

Examples of projects include the following:

- Monetization through advertising on Rakuten Link.

- Collaboration and alignment with partners.

- Monetization using official Rakuten Link accounts, etc. 

This is a position where you can develop services while collaborating with various businesses and services of Rakuten from the initial monetization phase since Rakuten Link, which aims to be a "Super App", is a product that has just started.

 

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in planning and creating requirements for App.

- Experience in KPI management/testing/analysis

- Business English

- Experience in business planning.

- Experience in advertising business.

- Experience in planning and executing marketing initiatives.

- Experience in launching new businesses/services.

- Experience in product management.

- Experience in data analysis using SQL and tools.
