Procurement Manager

The locations for this job: Benue, Zaria, Kano

This position requires at least 15-25 years of experience in Agro commodities supply chain along with at least 10 years in procurement or trading of commodities or agricultural ingredients. The position holder must have direct experience of having handled at least one of the following items during his buying career: Corn, Soybeans. Should have direct experience of managing complex inbound supply chain for at least one of the above items besides having a wide industry network or at least in one of the above mentioned items.

The candidate must have hands on experience on field operations with respect to commodity supply chain either Geographically or Commodity wise.

Experience in commercial dealings and negotiations.

Experience in coordinating operations and trouble shooting.

- Understanding and alignment with the business needs

- Commercial knowledge, outlook on local govt decisions and policies, Understanding of socioeconomic factors.

- The position holder must be comfortable working in fluid and constantly changing environment

- Must have very good to excellent people skills, leadership qualities and team skills and be able to straddle comfortably across both upward and downward hierarchy within the organization.

- The position holder should have very high levels of integrity and honesty in dealings and have a commercial acumen.
