- Perform repetitious assigned jobs on the production line. May work at a variety of positions of workstations throughout a contract period.
- Cooperate with Production Leads and coworkers to ensure efficient and safe production.
- Cooperate in the training of new employees in various positions, including specific job duties, proper work habits, sanitation, and safety standards, by setting a good example.
- Ensure supplies are adequate and readily available.
- Cooperate with Production Leads in personnel line rotation to minimize inefficiency.
- Maintain communication with other production personnel to coordinate activities.
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policy by closely monitoring the safe use of equipment and work habits in and around the work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience working in manual labor jobs preferred.
- Previous seafood processing experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be able complete a 6 months/1,800 hours employment contract, or until end of season layoffs, whichever comes first.
- Must be able to stand and work up to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week in a cold and wet environment.
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- The position requires repetitive bending, lifting, twisting, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and fine motor skill manipulations.
- Ability to interact in a positive manner with diverse cultures in a team environment.
- Must be able to speak and understand basic English for safety reasons.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen at time of hire.
- Must be able to pass a post-offer medical questionnaire, prior to traveling to Dutch Harbor.
- All new employees must complete a post-offer criminal background check.
This is an hourly non-exempt position with a starting pay rate of $17.00 per hour and $25.50 per hour overtime.

- Company provided housing and meals at our facility. A $15 per day room and board fee is charged on days working more than 8 hours a day. No charge for days off or days working less than 8 hours. Fee covers – cafeteria style meals (all you can eat), housing, and laundry service. Employees will be charged a $5.00/month recreation fee starting B Season 2026.
- The Employee will be responsible for providing his or her transportation to either Seattle, Washington or Anchorage, Alaska (Point of Hire). The Company will provide the Employee's northbound transportation from either Seattle, Washington or Anchorage, Alaska to Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Upon completion of this Agreement, the Employee will receive, upon termination, if applicable, transportation (the method of which is at the sole discretion of the Company) back to either Anchorage, Alaska or Seattle, Washington.

Summary
UniSea is now hiring Seasonal Seafood Processors for our 2026 B Season, with work beginning in early June 2026! All processors will sign a 6-month employment contract. Employees should assume that they will work the entire 6 months, though the season may end earlier depending on the amount of fish we must process. UniSea employees generally work 6 days per week, 12 hours a day, but the amount of work available will depend on fish deliveries.
UniSea will provide your air transportation from Seattle or Anchorage to Dutch Harbor, AK after you complete all Pre-Hire requirements, and back to Seattle or Anchorage, after you successfully complete your contract. UniSea is able to assist employees with airfare to Seattle or Anchorage, with candidate pre-approval.
UniSea provides dormitory style housing, free laundry service, as well as all-you-can-eat cafeteria style meals at our Galley. New employees will have $15/day room and board fee deducted on days when you work more than 8 hours. On days when working less than 8 hours there is no fee. Additionally, employees will be charged a $5.00/month recreation fee that will cover Wi-Fi access in common areas, computers in the Library, Movies/Video games that can be checked out and other amenities that can be used while in Dutch Harbor.
