About the role

We are seeking a Process Technology Technician to support fermentation projects focused on the development and optimization of biotechnological processes. This position will participate in laboratory, pilot plant, and industrial-scale activities, contributing to enzyme and protein production and recovery processes while supporting process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support fermentation projects related to process development and optimization.
• Execute and document experiments at laboratory, pilot plant, and industrial scales.
• Contribute to enzyme, protein, and other bioprocess production and recovery activities.
• Analyze data and experimental results to support process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Laboratory teams.

Qualifications and skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or other related disciplines.
• Strong academic background in bioprocesses, fermentation, or biotechnology.

Experience

• Entry-level or recent graduate profile.
• Internship, co-op, academic laboratory, or university project experience will be considered relevant experience.

Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of fermentation and bioprocess fundamentals.
• Knowledge of enzyme and protein production or recovery processes.
• Statistical analysis and data interpretation skills.
• Experience using statistical software such as Minitab or equivalent tools is preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency is required.
