  • Serve as a process safety subject matter expert, providing technical guidance on risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation.
  • Guide sites in the application and interpretation of Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP).
  • Partner with site leadership, engineering, and EHS teams to drive measurable improvements in process safety performance.
  • Lead targeted initiatives to reduce risk associated with high-hazard materials, technologies, and operations.
  • Support and participate in audits, compliance reviews, and internal or external process safety assessments.
  • Contribute to process safety incident investigations, including incident classification, root cause analysis, and enterprise trend analysis.
  • Support development and deployment of corporate process safety training programs for engineering and operations personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in process safety and risk management within high‑hazard manufacturing or chemical processing environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of international process safety standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with HAZOP, LOPA, PHA, and DHA methodologies.
  • Proven background in process safety auditing, compliance assurance, and management system implementation.
  • Ability to lead across functions and influence at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective facilitator and collaborator.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred / Additional Attributes

  • Certified Process Safety Professional (e.g., CCPS or equivalent).
  • Experience in project engineering and capital project risk reviews.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; effective in global, multicultural environments.
  • Self‑directed, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
