Position Summary
Principal Responsibilities
1. Lead the design and development of automation systems for manufacturing lines, improving production efficiency and system reliability.
2. Prepare and develop URS document/specification with support of Process and Procurement team.
3. Manage end-to-end automation projects, including system design, hardware selection, software development, and on-site commissioning (FAT/SAT).
4. Involvement Automation architecture and implementation of systems, enabling real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and performance tracking.
5. Work together with Process Development SMEs to develop processes supported by product specifications and compliance to Medical Device requirements.
6. Integrate automation systems with MES/develop capability and enterprise-level platforms to enhance production visibility and traceability.
7. Prepare CAPEX and Capital Justification for Automation Implementation
8. Conduct root cause analysis for complex equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions, reducing downtime and improving OEE.
9. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, process optimization, and waste minimization.
10. Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
11. Capabilities of mentoring junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, and training on automation tools as well as methodologies.

Education / Experience Requirements
1. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering with some background in electrical/ electronic engineering field
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in large-scale automated assembly equipment and integration of processes in Medical Industries
3. Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and data analysis tools is often preferred. Knowledge in Technical Drawings, schematic diagram is a prerequisite.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
5. Good communication skills, collaborative nature with Stakeholders, Suppliers and Software Developers.
