The Process Engineer is responsible for injection tooling development & process tuning, in line with program planning, quality targets. To ensure that Manufacturing Processes can run efficiently in order to meet the targets set by the Customer for Quality, Cost and Delivery and the implementation of continuous improvement.
- To work with development teams to ensure tools are manufactured and delivered to Faurecia Standards.
- To improve existing tools and processes using all resources necessary to achieve targets given. Define tooling and technical development strategies to provide opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- To work with production teams in order to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
- Set up and optimise tools to achieve minimum cycle time and maximum quality.
- To participate in continuous improvement work groups (TPM, HOSHIN, SMED, QRCI, …) and generally contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- To work with central engineering- coordinating engineering changes into the UAP and update PFMEA in line with changes.
- To work closely with other support functions in the improvement process (i.e. Quality, Maintenance, …)
- To develop standard operations and implement technical training programs and contribute to both Polyvalence and Task Transfer implementation within the UAP. To develop existing technical staff with defined strategic long term training plans to enhance skill set and nurture identified technical talent.
- Use knowledge and experience to suggest/ propose cost savings/ process improvements to existing plant/ processes.
- Effectively manage a team of technical staff to maximise the potential and deliver the desired results.
- Carry out other duties in line with the job function.
- To work with a high level of self-motivation and minimal direction.
- During the pursuit of all duties of the Code of Ethics and the Code of Management will be adhered to at all times.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering with a specialisation in Production / Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Experience:
- At least 3 years of production/ process/ manufacturing engineering experience
Skills and competencies
- Plastic Injection is a must
- Operational knowledge of Production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM, GPAO)
- Minimum bi-lingual (English required)
- Basic office software operation
Good team cooperation ability
