Job Duties

Lead the development of process control strategy as well as the implementation of all control and automation elements related to the distributive control system (DCS) and programming logic controls (PLC) for a new linear alpha olefins site build in Saudi Arabia. This position will require international travel to facilitate in-person involvement throughout the engineering and start-up phases for newly commissioned site(s) and for on-going support once operations are established. Support day-to-day operation of the DCS, PLC, Training System (OTS) to optimize and enable safe and compliant operation of the assets. On-going support includes monitoring DCS and process control network performance, identifying and implementing control strategy improvements and advanced control loop tuning. Interface with a multidiscipline team to develop and support control applications and technologies in the facility.

Position requires 10-15% international travel. May work at various unanticipated sites. May telecommute.

Job Requirements

Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, chemical engineering or related field, followed by 9 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a process control engineer related occupation.
