What you will do as a Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and individualized hospice care for patients in our Inpatient Unit.
  • Deliver skilled nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and manage pain and symptoms according to physician orders and hospice best practices.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes while ensuring comfort and quality of life.
  • Educate patients and family members about the plan of care while providing emotional support throughout their hospice journey.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient care in the electronic health record.
  • Supervise and support Certified Nurse Aides to ensure compassionate, high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and hospice regulations.
  • Participate in on-call and holiday rotations as needed.
  • Help create a calm, compassionate, and comforting environment for patients and families.

What we are looking for:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current, unrestricted Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience; hospice, home health, community health, medical-surgical, or critical care experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid Virginia driver's license and acceptable driving record

Schedule:

Schedule: PRN opportunities to join our day shift team or our night shift team, 12 hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7am)
