Job description

This position manages a portfolio of small accounts. This position assists with service and sales to professional and executive clients, along with credit and deposit support, which may include consumer underwriting, along with documentation and credit administration for both personal and commercial loans. This position produces high-quality, professional work that is accurate, complete, and fulfills the intended purpose for presenting a positive image to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Retain and grow existing customer deposit and loan relationships along with acquiring new relationships; this may include participating in outside client calls and handling customer inquiries.
  • Resolve customer problems, obtain information, request the research of records, and follow up on details to resolve the matter to the customer’s satisfaction, whenever possible.
  • Assist with the opening of all depository accounts and cross-sale of other ancillary products and services.
  • Prepare preliminary client correspondence and customized professional client presentation materials to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Participate in various professional associations and community activities to enhance the Bank’s visibility and to further personal and professional development.
  • Keep technical exception report to a minimum.
  • Process daily overdrafts.
  • Serve as one of the primary contacts for Private Banking Department when clients come into the bank and/or over the phone.
  • Attend Customer Service and ASK meetings.

Education, Experience, and Other Expectations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of consumer or commercial banking experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of loan and deposit documentation.
  • Good working knowledge of rules, regulations and internal policies and practices relating to retail loan underwriting and documentation.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer technology.
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Flexible and adapts well to change.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and have excellent problem solving skills.
