Privacy Operations Specialist - PDPO - Dublin

Description

The Global Privacy Operations team sits under the PDPO organization. Our team serves as a critical touchpoint between the business and the data subject. We design and administer various external-facing privacy channels and facilitate the compliant processing and fulfillment of Data Subject Requests (DSRs) and privacy rights for our users across the globe.
As a Privacy Operations Specialist, you will work daily to support users with privacy inquiries globally—with a primary focus on the EMEA region—by accommodating their data subject requests and empowering them to execute their privacy rights. You will play a key role in continually improving the company's privacy posture by assessing, managing, and fulfilling a broad spectrum of privacy requests in a fully compliant manner.
Core Responsibilities
- User Privacy Support: Manage and execute TikTok's Global Privacy Operations by handling privacy-related queries from users based in the EMEA region.
- Legal Collaboration: Partner closely with the Legal Team to resolve complex user queries and escalations related to data privacy.
- Issue & Escalation Resolution: Effectively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve high-priority or escalated user privacy concerns.
- Process & Tooling Optimization: Participate in and/or lead strategic projects aimed at improving operational processes and tooling to allow the Privacy Operations team to scale rapidly and sustainably.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to solve complex privacy challenges and ensure seamless execution of user rights.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification(s)
- 2+ years of experience working in privacy and/or compliance team, i.e. Privacy Ops support, Digital-Rights Ops or a similar operations setting;
- Strong knowledge of privacy and data protection in the context of digital platforms, including a solid understanding of GDPR;
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities to enhance the DSR process at scale;
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail;
- Great verbal and written communication skills;
- Operates with a high degree of integrity;

Preferred Qualification(s)
- CIPP/E and/or CIPM certified
