Principal Engineer Applications

Establish and oversee trustworthy relationships with regional Customers and third-party Design Houses to introduce new Si, SiC and GaN-based products, help them to design-in Infineon chipset solutions.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Managing a local team from hiring to on-boarding, KPI setting and monitoring in alignment with Business Line goals. Work on their development needs.
• Establish and oversee trustworthy relationships with regional Customers and third-party Design Houses to introduce new Si, SiC and GaN-based products, help them to design-in Infineon chipset solutions.
• Support Go-to-market of new products by performing application and system validation highlighting value to the Customers and against competition
• Oversee the creation of Ref. Design, including HW and SW, promotional and training material to demonstrate IFX system solutions in target applications: Battery back-up units, Supercapacitors, Energy storage.
• Cooperate with other SAE teams in different locations by promoting synergies, avoiding redundancies, standardizing processes and methodologies to reduce time-to-market.
• Oversee Application lab activities. Improve and develop testing capability for established and new applications. Make the application lab a versatile testing facility to timely meet business needs

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Technical Degrees (BSEE/MSEE/Ph. D) in Electrical Engineering or similar areas with minimum 5 years’ experience in semiconductor or power electronics industry.
• Deep understanding of power electronic converter topologies and converters design.
• Good understanding of power devices, Analog and digital ICs with focus on go to market activities.
• Experience in system level modelling and simulation for various power switches and conversion circuits.
• Good understanding of Application requirements of Server-Datacenter.
• Demonstrated track-record in leading successfully Application Engineering teams
• Fast learner with ability to work under-pressure in a global and diverse team in different locations worldwide.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. Written and verbal fluency in English is a must.
