Revvity Signals platforms aim to revolutionize scientific research by providing advanced cloud SaaS data management and data analytics tools to researchers and professionals in the life sciences industry. 

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our Revvity Signals Software team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving the infrastructure, services and components required for collecting, storing and analyzing large data sets in our Signals Analytics Cloud SaaS product. You will work closely with data scientists, product owners and other stakeholders to enable new analytics features into the product. 

Our platform aims to revolutionize scientific research by providing advanced cloud SaaS analytics tools to researchers and professionals in the life sciences industry.

You Will: 

  • Architect and develop robust, scalable data analytics services in the Cloud 
  • Design and implement advanced data models for efficient storage and retrieval 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes 
  • Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency 
  • Contribute to data governance and security policies 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) 
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles 
  • Strong expertise big data technologies (e.g., Dask, Hadoop, Spark, ) 
  • Advanced programming skills in (preferred) Python , Java, or Scala 
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and  MoSQL databases  (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL,...). 
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services 
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts. 
  • Experience with data visualization tools and BI platforms 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor others
