  • Full time fixed term role until 30 June 2026 with strong likelihood of extension  

  • Utilise your medical/allied health practice management experience to ensure optimal running of headspace Camperdown so that practitioners can provide top-tier clinical services

  • Base Salary $108,557 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

As the Practice Manager at headspace Camperdown, you will play a key role in keeping things running smoothly, supporting the Clinical Services Director in managing day-to-day operations. Beyond operations, you will be a problem-solver and strategic advisor, aligning University policies with external requirements to meet operational goals. Collaboration is also at the heart of this role as you will be building strong relationships with University teams, key external partners, and headspace staff to enhance service quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and the Community Engagement and Development Officer in a collaborative and tight-nit team environment, reporting into the Clinical Services Director.

  • ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of headspace Camperdown

  • stay up to date with policy changes, taking the lead in implementing updates and directives

  • build and maintain strong relationships with University and external partners

  • oversee eMR and medical bookings system, and processing of payments/rebates, stepping into support front desk staff as needed

  • foster a warm and youth friendly environment for visitors to the practice

About you

  • previous experience working in a front desk role within a medical or allied health practice, with experience working as a Practice Manager preferred

  • demonstrated experience processing medicare and private health insurance payments

  • knowledge of eMR and medical booking systems

  • a valid Working With Children Check or an ability to obtain one

  • highly-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to make young people entering the practice feel comfortable and welcome

  • a passion for addressing youth mental health issues.
