JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Advanced Manufacturing department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Powersports Technology Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom/lab experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.

Teach a full range of Powersports courses. Collaborating in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

8 years of FT related occupational experience
OR
approved Journey-worker status
OR
4 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Associate’s degree in career field
OR
2 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related discipline.

Factory certification from national manufacturer, such as Polaris, Yamaha or others.

Compensation: $580 per Equivalent Credit Hours (ECH)


May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and will involve travel to other campuses.
A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
Hiring process includes passing a background check.
