Power BI Technical and Functional Consultant

Power BI Development:

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Data Analysis:

• Perform data modeling, cleansing, and transformation to ensure the accuracy and usability of data.

Business Requirements Gathering:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Technical Support:

• Troubleshoot Power BI issues and provide solutions to optimize performance and user experience.

Integration:

• Connect Power BI to various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.

Training & Documentation:

• Conduct end-user training sessions and create documentation for Power BI solutions.

Advanced Analytics:

• Implement DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) calculations and advanced Power Query features.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Data Science, and Business Units, to deliver insights-driven solutions.

Requirements

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• A master’s degree in data analysis or related line is a plus.

Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (mandatory). PL-300
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate (Advanced). DP-500
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert. PL-600
• Microsoft Certified: Database Management. DP300
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals. SC-900
• CBIP

• Data Visualization specialist certification.
• SQL Certification
• DAX (Data analyses Expressions) Training.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI platform development.
• Strong expertise in DAX and Power Query.
• Proficiency in integrating Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, APIs, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools and methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in a consulting environment.
