Postdoctoral Researcher in Mathematics (Combinatorics, Topology and Algorithms) (m/f/d)

(Full-time 38,5 hours/week, limited for 2 years)

Your tasks:

  • Conduct independent research in mathematics, with a focus on discrete, combinatorial, algebraic, or topological structures.

  • Develop theoretical and algorithmic methods for the analysis and classification of structured discrete objects.

  • Investigate invariants, symmetries, and structural properties arising in combinatorics, topology, or related areas.

  • Contribute to high-quality research publications and present results at international conferences.

  • Collaborate with members of the research group and contribute to the scientific life of an international academic environment.

Your profile:

  • PhD in Mathematics, Theoretical Computer Science, Mathematical Physics, or a closely related field.

  • Strong background in at least one of the following areas: combinatorics, graph theory, topology, discrete geometry, or theoretical aspects of algorithms.

  • Ability to conduct independent theoretical research, demonstrated by publications or research potential.

  • Interest in working at the interface of structure, theory, and algorithms.

  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
