Apply to this jobThe Portfolio Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting of the company’s managed portfolios. The role supports the reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of portfolio-related transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Supports the monthly/quarterly recurring invoicing cycle by producing and distributing timely invoices and monitoring receivables.
- Liaises with Data & Analytics, IT, Operations, and Business teams to collect invoicing data and reconciles discrepancies.
- Performs cash management of client bank accounts, including preparation of payments and reversals.
- Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports for internal and external clients.
- Communicates with clients to resolve invoicing issues and responds to queries.
- Coordinates and prepares portfolio expenses budgets, providing information to the Financial Planning & Analysis Team.
- Proposes updates to invoicing processes to ensure compliance and improve efficiency.
- Assists in audits by providing documentation, analyses, and supports process improvements and internal controls.
- Maintains a high level of customer service by ensuring clients receive all required information and reports according to servicing agreements.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
Requirements
Education, Experience and Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in financial services or asset management.
- Experience in portfolio accounting or financial reporting systems.
- Good understanding of IFRS and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Greek (written and verbal).
