Description

About the Team
The Trust & Safety Policy team at TikTok helps ensure that our global community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our apps, while protecting our brand.

About the role
We are seeking a highly strategic and collaborative policy professional to join TikTok’s Trust & Safety Policy team, with a focus on Account Integrity. This role will help shape and drive policy enforcement in areas related to account abuse and safety risks across the platform.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of online safety and platform abuse trends, along with strong judgment in balancing user safety, business impact, and enforcement feasibility. They should be comfortable working at the intersection of policy, product, operations, legal and communications, and have experience translating complex risk signals into clear, actionable policy and enforcement strategies.
This person will play a critical role in evaluating emerging product risks, developing scalable policy responses, and partnering cross-functionally to launch effective solutions. The role also requires strong strategic program management skills to lead large, ambiguous initiatives from problem definition through implementation. Experience in content moderation, product policy, AI-enabled enforcement, and trust & safety is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and evolve global Trust & Safety policies related to Account Integrity
- Assess policy and safety risks associated with new products and provide clear recommendations that balance user safety, product objectives, legal considerations, and operational scalability.
- Partner closely with Product, Legal, Public Policy, Communications, Operations, and Enforcement teams to design, negotiate, and implement policy solutions for complex account safety challenges.
- Translate abuse trends, operational insights and external developments into clear policy guidance, enforcement frameworks, and platform mitigation strategies.
- Drive the development of scalable enforcement approaches, including strategies that leverage automation, and human review to improve detection accuracy and policy effectiveness.
- Lead large cross-functional projects from scoping through execution, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, clear decision-making, and timely delivery of policy outcomes.
- Communicate policy rationale, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences, including leadership, regional teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Monitor the evolving risk landscape related to account abuse and integrity harms, and proactively identify gaps, emerging threats, and opportunities to strengthen TikTok’s policy posture.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in trust & safety, public policy, tech policy, content moderation, platform integrity, or a related field.
- Experience developing, interpreting, or operationalizing policies related to online safety, abuse prevention, or platform enforcement.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across Product, Legal, Communications, and Operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policy issues clearly and concisely.
- Experience assessing risks associated with products, features, or user behaviors and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Proven project or program management experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on account-integrity issues, or related platform abuse areas.
- Experience in content moderation, trust & safety operations, or enforcement strategy within a technology company.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled enforcement systems and experience developing policy approaches for automated detection or decisioning.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience using data and operational insights to inform decision-making.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving, and high-stakes environments.
- Advanced degree in public policy, law, international relations, communications, or a related discipline.
