font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Assists radio dispatchers by logging messages, relaying calls, and monitoring teletype machine. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Notifies police personnel of conditions that may warrant their attention. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Gives testimony in court, prepares clear reports of significant activities and conditions, writes out summonses, checks parking meters that are vandalized, damaged or stolen, and reports such items. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Issues summons to vehicle that is parked unlawfully when patrolling assigned area. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Checks for vehicles that are listed stolen by police and report them for recovery. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0"> Issues summons to vehicles that are parked overtime on any meter in assigned area. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Regulates the movements of school children at a street intersection. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Working alone or as a member of a group, informs, educates, and confers with community residents concerning the reduction and elimination of crime targets. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Distributes material on crime prevention and reporting. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Makes presentations before community organizations on crime prevention. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Conducts surveys on crime. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0"> Interviews juveniles to determine cause of offense. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Visits homes and advises parents/guardians on behavior problem of juvenile offenders and how to cope with the problem. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Prepares written and oral report of investigations. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Interviews witnesses to obtain relevant facts. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Recommends referrals of juveniles to social agencies. </pre></li><li><pre style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0">Surveys the community looking for unsafe and unsanitary conditions and makes reports of same.
