The role

As a Junior Project Planner / PMO Advisor within Damen Workboats, you will support our Project Management Office by helping to plan, monitor and control complex shipbuilding projects.

Your primary focus will be developing and maintaining project schedules in Primavera P6, working closely with project managers, engineers and suppliers to ensure reliable planning and project progress.

Besides planning, you will gradually become involved in other Project Management Office disciplines such as risk management, requirements management, Verification & Validation (V&V), project reporting and project controls. Experience in these areas is welcome, but certainly not required we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and develop into a well-rounded PMO professional.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys working with data, planning and project organization.

Key responsibilities

Project Planning

  • Develop and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6
  • Update planning based on project progress
  • Support project managers with schedule analysis and forecasting
  • Monitor critical paths, milestones and dependencies
  • Assist in schedule reporting and planning improvements

Project Controls & PMO Support

  • Collect progress information from project teams
  • Prepare project reports and dashboards
  • Support planning reviews and project meetings
  • Help maintain project documentation and PMO standards

Learning & Development

  • As your experience grows, you will gradually contribute to:
  • Risk Management
  • Requirements Management
  • Verification & Validation (V&V)
  • Project reporting and KPI development
  • Continuous improvement of PMO processes and templates

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of relevant work experience
  • Affinity with planning and project management
  • Experience with Primavera P6 is an advantage, but not essential
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Good command of English
  • Curious, eager to learn and willing to develop into a Project Controls professional
