Plumber - MHO

Area of responsibility

• Maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ensure the proper functioning and safety of plumbing operations within the facility.

Duties

• Respond to repair requests for plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain, repair, and replace water, gas, and drain piping systems.
• Maintain, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, valves, and steam traps.
• Maintain grease traps and sewage ejector pits.
• Assist with water and gas supply shut offs and room issues.
• Stock supplies and undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor, manager or any other member of the management.

Qualifications/job experience

• High school education or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with five years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Considerable knowledge of plumbing systems, sanitary codes, and general safe operating procedures.
• Skill in threading and sweating pipe.

Personal Requirements

• Physical ability to lift materials, work in various conditions, and perform in confined spaces.
• Working knowledge of pressurized water extinguishers.
• Basic English language communication skills for effective interaction with co-workers and others, understanding job assignments, and following manufacturer's instructions.
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Capability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances within the facility.
