Apply to this jobThe purpose of the class is to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and equipment; to assist with minor building construction and renovation work and assist with other trades as required; to provide leadership of subordinate staff as assigned, and to perform related work as required. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision of the Assistant General Manager of Facilities.
Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by formal training, special courses or self-education that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in mechanical maintenance or a closely related field.
