Responsibilities:

  • Disciplinary head of the plant and its respective functions

  • Lead, coach and develop the local leadership team and foster a high-performance culture

  • Full responsibility for overall plant performance, including cost, quality, delivery, output and profitability targets, by defining, monitoring and continuously improving relevant KPIs and productivity measures

  • Drive and continuously develop a strong safety culture (zero accident philosophy) and ensure HSE compliance across the site and all functions

  • Establish and further develop lean management, continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness through optimized organizational structures, processes and workflows.

  • Ensure effective collaboration across all plant functions as well as with Business Units and Corporate functions

  • Ensure effective capacity, resource and capex planning aligned with long-term customer demand 

  • Drive competitiveness of the plant, including support of customer RFQs and successful project launches

  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, policies and regulatory requirements

  • Drive digitalization, automation and innovation initiatives at plant level

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in engineering, operations or an equivalent qualification

  • Several years of leadership experience in the automotive industry, ideally in a plant management role

  • Proven track record in managing production and operational processes

  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement

  • Solid financial and business acumen

  • Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills

  • Fluent in German and English (mandatory), additional languages are a plus
