Plant Manager

Tier 1 Automotive Supplier and Industry Leader

As the site leader, the Plant Manager is responsible for driving the P&L of the facility through operational excellence and contemporary tools (Lean/Six Sigma) as well as creating a motivating culture and teamwork environment. 

This position is responsible for the leadership and performance of the business and will execute the strategic operational functions of the facility, as well as:

• Lead, apply, and teach lean manufacturing processes and diagnostic metrics

• Participate in business development calls on existing and potential customers

• Provide coaching to other leaders so that they may effectively assist in business operations and management efforts 

• Drive to improve the business performance of key service lines  

• Identify, lead, and execute on key business process initiatives in order to support operational performance 

• Monitor legislative activity and anticipate business impact 

• Monitor product / technology / industry trends and anticipate business impact 

• Identify and execute on key training areas for local leadership and professional teams 

• Identify and track all key performance and operations metrics for the facility

• Develop and manage business plans with particular focus on operational efficiencies, margin cultivation, and facility income

• Aggressively pursue material and expense reduction

• Bachelors degree
• 7 + years of manufacturing experience
• 3+ years of administrative/operational supervisory experience
• Self-Starter and driven
• Strong communication skills
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge
