Plant Controller

Join our team as a Plant Controller and play a key role in driving financial performance and operational excellence across our manufacturing facility. This position blends hands-on cost accounting, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to support business unit goals.

What you will do:

• Maintain and optimize the plant’s cost accounting system and controls
• Analyze sales, cost of sales, labor, product costing, and inventory variances
• Lead weekly financial forecasting and monthly reconciliations
• Coordinate physical inventories and analyze results across departments and global vendors
• Prepare journal entries and manage standard costing, labor rates, and overhead allocations
• Conduct variance analysis and partner with teams to resolve cost discrepancies
• Lead annual operating and capital budget preparation
• Manage a Staff Accountant, providing guidance, support and development opportunities
• Interface daily with manufacturing and planning teams to improve inventory control
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley procedures and support quarterly testing
• Deliver accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 5–7 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in interpreting operational documents and applying statistical analysis
• Experience with Oracle and Hyperion is a plus
