Plant Breeding Assistant

Job Description Summary:

Guide and supervise other staffs and workers in the proper execution of breeding experiments according to established protocols and SOP.

Provide regular update of trials through field visits, analysis and reports. Make recommendations in a timely manner.

Job Description:

• Monitor the progress of plant breeding, molecular biology or agronomy trials in designated regions.

• Regularly update trial reports.

• Analyze trial results and submit scientific reports.

• Support the breeding program through molecular and quantitative breeding approaches.

• Conduct genetic/genomic data analysis using relevant molecular genomics software.

• Monitor and support lab and field teams in executing daily technical tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree (S-2) in Plant Breeding or Agronomy.

• Bachelor’s degree (S-1) may be considered with relevant experience.

• Preferably experienced in field/research work.

• Knowledge of quantitative genetics and oil palm plantation systems is a plus.

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

• Strong leadership capabilities.

• Willing to be based in Riau.
