Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Piping/Structural Inspector to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards during fabrication, construction, and installation activities.

The inspector will be responsible for monitoring piping and structural works, conducting inspections, identifying non-conformities, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented to maintain quality and safety requirements.

Perform inspections of piping and structural fabrication, erection, welding, and installation activities in accordance with applicable codes (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, AISC) and project specifications.

·       Review and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and construction specifications.

·       Verify materials, welding consumables, and equipment meet approved standards and certifications.

·       Conduct dimensional, fit-up, alignment, and weld visual inspections for piping and structural assemblies.

·       Monitor NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities and review NDT reports.

·       Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing of piping systems.

·       Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures and generate detailed inspection reports.

·       Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and verify corrective and preventive actions.

·       Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve quality-related issues.

·       Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote safe work practices during inspection activities.

Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to final project quality

Requirements

·     ·       Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, or related engineering discipline.

·       Minimum 10 years of experience, (preferred), as a piping/structural inspector in oil & gas, petrochemical projects.

·       Certification preferred:

·       AWS CWI / CSWIP or other internationally recognised equivalent, (welding inspection)

·       Strong knowledge of codes and standards (ASME, API, AISC, AWS, ISO).

·       Familiarity with NDT methods and procedures.

·       Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

·       Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

·       Mandatory to hold all required relevant offshore survival & medical certification.
