We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team and perform high-quality welding on piping systems used in industrial, commercial, or construction projects. The Pipe Welder will be responsible for assembling, installing, and welding pipes according to specifications, codes, and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience with multiple welding techniques and can work from blueprints and isometric drawings. This position includes projects in the Maryland, DC and Virginia areas.
Personal vehicle required (gas and mileage reimbursement included).
Responsibilities:
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys using processes such as TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW)
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols
- Fit, align, and assemble pipe components prior to welding
- Perform root passes, fill passes, and cap welds to required specifications
- Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with codes and quality standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Conduct pressure testing and assist with system start-up as needed
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper storage of materials
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA guidelines
- Collaborate with pipefitters, supervisors, and quality inspectors to complete projects on time
Compensation (from employer):
25–40 USD per-hour-wage
