About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join the St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne Physiotherapy Department on a casual basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management to patients across our Fitzroy, Kew and Hawthorn campuses, as directed by the Workforce Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical experience across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings while working within a supportive, collaborative and progressive team committed to excellence in patient care, clinical practice, research and professional development. Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Classification: Grade 1 Physiotherapist (VA3–VA7) $35 - $43 per hour plus a casual loading rate of 25%.

Duties

  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management across a diverse range of clinical areas.

  • Provide evidence-based, person-centred care to optimise patient outcomes and maximise function.

  • Represent physiotherapy at relevant team, family, multidisciplinary and departmental meetings.

  • Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary team members through comprehensive documentation, handovers and collaboration.

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of Physiotherapy services.

  • Participate in professional development activities and contribute to a positive team culture.

Your Contribution

  • Current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.

  • Demonstrated clinical experience and knowledge of physiotherapy practice within a healthcare setting.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and high-quality patient care.
