About Pulse Heart Institute 

MultiCare’s Pulse Heart Institute is a physician led institute with multi-specialty partnership with Cardiothoracic surgery, vascular and cardiovascular service lines. Our team and state-of-the-art programs create a world-class health care organization and the destination center for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care with complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure service as well as advanced imaging with cutting edge technologies.

We are seeking a board certified/eligible General Thoracic Surgeon to join a team of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgeons caring for patients in a five-hospital system in the Puget Sound region. The position is for a General Thoracic Surgeon with experience in all aspects of thoracic surgery including lung, mediastinal, chest wall, foregut, esophageal and pleural space pathology. An interest in robotic approach is expected and an opportunity to utilize the Single Port robot for both lung resection and mediastinal work is already established. The main hospital serves as a case observation site for Robotic Thoracic Surgery (DV5 fully upgraded fleet) as well as a Total Program Observation (Intuitive Surgical) site for Interventional Pulmonary as well as Thoracic Surgery. The team currently consists of four full time Cardiac Surgeons, one full time Thoracic Surgeon and a group of seven APP’s supporting both inpatient and outpatient.

FTE: 1.0 Shift: Day Schedule: Variable

Base Compensation: $594,000.00 plus production bonus, performance bonus and call pay
