Develop treatment plans, obtain physician approval, and treat patients per physician orders.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, aides, and students per state practice act.
Train Restorative Aides and instruct families or nursing staff on maintenance programs and discharge preparation.
Participate in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Reviews, Rehabilitation Conferences, and in-service training.
Maintain accurate records: evaluations, daily and weekly notes, progress notes, recertifications, and treatment changes per PT Board/state requirements.
Recommend, order, and facilitate necessary durable medical equipment for patient mobility and independence.
Communicate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
Ensure proper care, maintenance, and reporting of departmental equipment issues.
Maintain licensure, continuing education, and compliance with state and facility regulations.
