Job description

Physical Therapist – Sports & Active Population

Sports Physical Therapy – Kirkland | Outpatient Orthopedic & Performance PT

SPT Kirkland is a sports and orthopedic physical therapy clinic built for clinicians who want to grow fast, think critically, and deliver high-level care to active adults and athletes.

We operate in an open-gym, movement-based environment focused on objective testing, progressive rehab, and real-world performance outcomes—not passive, volume-driven care.

This role is designed for:

  • New grads who want structured mentorship and a fast learning curve
  • High performers who want autonomy, efficiency, and a results-driven environment

If you’re looking for a place to coast, this isn’t it. If you want to get better quickly and be surrounded by a strong team, you’ll fit right in.

Your First 30–60 Days

  • Structured onboarding with clear expectations
  • Side-by-side treatment and case discussions with the Clinic Director
  • Gradual ramp to full independence (no getting thrown into the deep end)
  • Early focus on clinical reasoning, efficiency, and patient communication

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate and treat orthopedic and sports-related conditions
  • Coach patients through exercise, movement retraining, and progressive loading
  • Use manual therapy when it meaningfully improves outcomes
  • Make clinical decisions—not just follow protocols
  • Document efficiently during the workday (no take-home notes)

Clinic Environment

  • Open-gym, active care model (minimal passive modalities)
  • Structured schedule designed for quality + efficiency
  • Collaborative team with high standards and strong accountability
  • Patient population: active adults, athletes, motivated individuals

Mentorship & Growth

  • Direct access to Clinic Director for real-time feedback and case review
  • Weekly or biweekly 1:1 check-ins focused on growth and performance
  • Clear progression path: confidence → efficiency → autonomy
  • Emphasis on clinical reasoning, not cookie-cutter care
  • Licensed (or soon-to-be licensed) Physical Therapist in Washington State
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Interest in sports, movement, and performance-based rehab

Who This Is a Good Fit For

  • New grads who are coachable, motivated, and want to accelerate their growth
  • Clinicians who take ownership and want to improve—not just “get through the day”
  • People who value efficiency, accountability, and outcomes
  • Those interested in sports rehab, orthopedics, and active populations

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $90,000 – $105,000 (based on experience)
  • Productivity bonus opportunities
  • CEU allowance + MedBridge access
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Up to 4 weeks PTO + paid holidays
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match

Why SPT Kirkland

This is a clinic where you can:

  • Accelerate your clinical growth
  • Develop strong decision-making and efficiency
  • Work with active patients who want to get better
  • Be part of a team that holds a high standard
