Physical Therapist

JOB LOCATION - Wilkes-Barre General Hospital - Days

Position Purpose

Provide patient care, consultative and educational physical therapy services. Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care team to improve patient outcomes. Evaluate, administer, and document physical therapy services provided as prescribed by the referring practitioner; establish physical therapy plan of care and goals; re-assess patient’s progress at appropriate time frames; complete documentation supporting the need for physical therapy services.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s Degree supplemented by completion of a curriculum leading to a certificate or diploma or proficiency in Physical Therapy.

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Preference for dealing directly with the therapeutic needs of handicapped individuals and for physical activity. Teach/instruct; clerical accuracy; accuracy of prescriptions and procedures; manual and finger dexterity and motor coordination; interpersonal skills; analytical and problems solving skills; treatment and discharge planning; safety conscious; effective communicator.

Licenses/Certificates:

Licensed physical therapist in the State of Pennsylvania.

BLS Required and must be completed prior to end of orientation period
