Compass Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to provide services to Optimize the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program at Eielson AFB, AK.

As a key member of the Optimizing the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program, the Physical Therapist plays a critical role in sustaining the health, readiness, and performance of U.S. Air Force fighter aircrew. Embedded within operational squadrons, the PT addresses flight-related musculoskeletal injuries—particularly neck and back pain caused by high-G environments—and develops individualized injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization plans. By providing direct care, ergonomic education, and recovery strategies, the PT helps mitigate mission-impacting injuries, reduces downtime, and enhances aircrew longevity. This role is essential to ensuring that pilots remain physically capable of meeting the intense demands of aerial combat and mission execution.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct MSK Evaluations and Interventions.
  • Design, Implement, and monitor individualized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
  • Order Imaging, Labs, and Specialist consultations as needed.
  • Documentation of work performed in approved electronic record systems.
  • Educate Aircrew and leadership on injury prevention, ergonomics, and recovery strategies.
  • Comply with all DHA, DoD, and MTF protocols.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in Collegiate, Professional, Olympic, Tactical (military), Aerospace industry, or similar high-performance environment (with experience within the last 2 years)
  • Current CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future

  • At least one of the following advanced certifications/training:
    • ABPTS Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) OR Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) certification
    • Orthopedic OR Sports residency/fellowship training
    • Advanced Dry Needling Certification (Level 2) AND Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) certification
