Job description

Apex Systems LLC, a division of On Assignment, is an IT staffing and services firm specializing in providing IT professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placements. Apex also offers recruitment solutions for other select professional skills and workforce needs

Training: Agent must commit to a full 3 weeks of training; no absences allowed during the training period. Training schedule of 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Hire Schedule: Full time, 40 hours (no part time) with a hire schedule of 9:30am -6:00pm.

At any time, Agent must be prepared and be flexible to work any schedule between 8:00am - 6:00pm due to business needs.

SKILLS: This is a call center environment and a good, clear telephone voice is required.

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, the agent must rate an 8-10 in computer skills and 8-10 in typing skills. If they are below that rating, they may not succeed in this training class. Previous call center or retail pharmacy experience is a plus!

Position Summary: The customer service representative, (CPhT registered with the TX State Board of Pharmacy) takes in-coming calls from members, providers, providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. Effectively manages work volume by handling inbound calls/fax requests; utilizing appropriate and professional behavior based upon established standards.


Required Qualifications: Ability to deal with a diverse customer base in a friendly and confident manner (internal and external customers); Excellent communication skills (oral, written, grammar, listening); PC Windows experience required; Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); Ability to maintain confidentiality

REQUIRED: Current Texas State Board of Pharmacy CPhT certificate that is good standing. No disciplinary action. HS diploma or GED required.
