Assists in investigating complaints and recommending enforcement action as necessary.<br><br><ul><li>Under direct supervision, will learn to evaluate programs for compliance with Georgia Environmental Health Regulations and perform public health inspections of the following: On-site Sewage Management Systems, Animal Bite Investigations, Food Service Establishments, Public Swimming Pools, Tourist Accommodations, Body Art Studios</li><li>Under direct supervision, will respond to public health emergencies as requested. (All county public health employees are deemed essential in the event of an emergency and are required to participate in emergency functions.</li><li>Must be able to drive a personal vehicle and/or company vehicle for work daily</li><li>Must have strong communication and time management abilities</li><li>Must be able to work in various climates both indoor and outdoor</li><li>Job has physical demands-frequent standing, bending, walking. May require occasional lifting of 25 to 45lbs.</li><li>Work involves daily traveling within county for inspection duties</li><li>other duties as assigned</li></ul>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, which includes the completion of 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, geology, physics, etc.).<p style="margin: 0">This is a salary position and based on a 40-hour work week M-F</p>This job qualifies for PSLF.&nbsp;<a href="https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/public-service">https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/public-service</a><br><br><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.</span></p><br><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">CBH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered.</span></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>All positions require criminal history record check.
