Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

As a Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at MedCare Pediatric, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one care while helping children develop essential communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Qualifications and Responsibilities:

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
    • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
    • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
    • Pediatric experience preferred
    • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
    • Responsibilities:

      • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
      • Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing needs
      • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team
      • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each child's goals
      • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress
      • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
